Draft Mission Statement From 4 breakout groups:

Group One
Name: The mission of the Kenai Peninsula Fish Habitat Partnership is to
Purpose/How: protect, restore and enhance
What/ecological benefits: the world class fish and aquatic communities found within the
Kenai Peninsula Borough and
What/social benefits: to promote a high quality of life through a collaborative process.

Group Two
Mission: The KPFHP works cooperatively for the sustainability of fishery resources
through the protection, maintenance, enhancement, and restoration of fish habitat.
Vision: The KPFHP will protect and maintain a healthy ecosystem functions while
building cooperation among various groups who share this common purpose.
The KPFHP will promote respect and conservation through projects, education and
outreach.
Good relations among partners sharing non-allocative interest in fish habitat will result
in: (1)improved, more focused protection of healthy fish habitats and; (2) a better
understanding and prioritization for what fish habitat’s needs for restoration.

Group Three (after larger group tweaking)
The purpose of the KPFHP is to create and foster effective collaborations to maintain
healthy fish, healthy people, healthy habitat, and healthy economics on the Kenai
Peninsula Borough.
The vision of the KPFHP is for future generations to have healthy, sustainable fish and
aquatic ecosystems.
The mission of the KPFHP is to protect, maintain, restore and enhance fish habitat.

Group Four
Purpose: The purpose of the KPFHP is to create and foster effective and cooperative
partnerships to maintain health fish populations and aquatic communities
Mission: the KPFHP works cooperatively to sustain fishery resources, ecosystems and
biodiversity by protecting, maintaining and restoring fish habitat and by promoting and
educating the public about these priceless biological resources.
